Aha! I've finally found this old thing. For awhile there I thought it was lost for good. But gladly, not so!
Anyway, after I had saved my poor journal from the dust bunnies beneath my bed (that really ought to have been the first place I looked), I realised that it needed a proper name.
Of course I know this journal isn't really, well, alive . . . but I've been thinking perhaps if I named him (her?) then I wouldn't be so careless in its (his?) placement.
So, my journal and I are taking suggestions!
(I'm particularly partial to Fernando. It has an air of mystery to it, no?)

Why is it that everyone has to grow up? And why do things have to change? And if people must get older, why can't they simply do just that but leave the growing up bit out of it?
I wish things could have stayed the way they were. Forever and ever and ever.

Erhum . . . hello? Can anyone read this? Hello? Is this working? HELLO???
I hope I haven't broken it somehow. You see, I got it all waterlogged when I was at the pond, and I tend to break things quite often. Usually expensive things made out of glass, but I don't think clumsiness discriminates, does it?
So in short, do not let a precious item fall into the pond, because there might be water snakes in it. Or snapping turtles! Or even pond sharks!
